Lovely hand carved bone box with hinged lid, overall measures 92mm x 60mm x 25mm.  The whole of the outside of the box & lid has been hand carved with an intricate woven basket style carving.  The hinged lid has a oval smooth centre panel that has been hand etched with a scene depicting a large three masted schooner sailing ship at sea.  It is also dated 1861.
