Lovely hand carved bone box with hinged lid, overall measures 107mm x 60mm x 25mm.  The hinged lid has been hand etched with a scene depicting the American Bald Eagle as seen on America's Great Seal.  In the Eagle's stronger right talon he holds an olive branch which represents "the power of peace."  In the left talon, barely seen underneath the scroll, the Eagle holds "the power of war" symbolized by a bundle of 13 arrows.  On a scroll in the Eagle's beak, reads the motto E Pluribus Unum on one side and In God We Trust on the other.  The American Eagle on the Great Seal represents liberty and freedom.
