Lovely pair of bronze figures in the Art Deco style in the form of bookends.  These ladies are seated reading a book, their marble bases rise up to form a bookend, simply fabulous.  Height 19cm, width 19cm & depth 9.5cm.

These bronzes are finished on shaped solid marble bases.  The lady's clothing has a traditional brown patina, however her skin is finished with a gilt coloured decoration.  Although signed LORENZL this is not an original of his work but is a later reimagining.
